High-speed steels preserve high temperature rigidity for long duration at high cutting speeds to the extent that the tool mouth glows red. They thus endure high temperatures and wear. In order to achieve this, these steels contain high amounts of carbon and also carbide forming alloy elements, which give them very high toughness values.
TG can manufacture high-speed steels not only conventionally but also with powder metallurgy. We thereby also increase toughness with the mechanical properties of high-speed steels and contribute to manufacturing long-lasting tools. Please visit our Powder Metallurgy Steels page for our high-speed steels manufactured with powd er metallurgy.
